Eight Fayette County schools have received awards from the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement based on scores for high performance and/or increased gains on the College and Career Ready Performance Index.

The schools are among 189 from 58 districts that were recognized with awards in four tiers. Highest performing ratings were based on a three-year average CCRPI Achievement score in at least the 93rd percentile; greatest gains were measured based on a three-year average 93rd percentile or better performance in the Progress category.

Rising Starr Middle and McIntosh High received platinum and gold awards for greatest gains and highest performance, respectively; Peachtree City Elementary earned a gold award and Braelinn Elementary, J.C. Booth Middle and Starr’s Mill High got silver in the highest performance category. For greatest gains, gold awards went to Oak Grove Elementary and Flat Rock Middle.
