A public memorial service will be held Tuesday morning for fallen Atlanta police officers at Woodruff Park.

The Atlanta Downtown Improvement District and Central Atlanta Progress will hold the service, which coincides with National Police Week.

The ceremony will be held 9 a.m. at the Give Our Police A Hand Monument, a monument created by Steve Steinman during the Atlanta Child Murder crisis to honor slain officers.

In addition to Atlanta police, MARTA police, Georgia State University, Fulton County police and other local police agencies will participate in the service.
