The roadwork on North Desert Drive for the storm drainage pipe replacement due to erosion is complete. Both the northbound and southbound lanes are open to traffic.
The Water & Sewer’s maintenance Department provide water and sewer services to approximately 11,000-plus customer accounts. This department is also responsible for responding to 24-hour, 7-day on-call emergencies for water, sewer, meter services and storm water issues.
The city of East Point implemented the Storm Water Division in 2012. This division provides support for major storm water functions such as replacing storm drain pipes, reducing flooding, fulfilling regulatory requirements, and reducing pollution carried by storm water to our waterways.
