DeKalb County voters can now cast their ballots in the 2020 presidential preference primary at locations across the county. Residents are also voting in the special election for sheriff, a nine-way race.
Early voting runs until Friday, March 20, and Election Day is Tuesday, March 24. Residents can vote early at any location, but must go to their assigned precinct if they vote on Election Day.
Three locations in DeKalb offered early voting starting Monday, March 2. Here are their schedules:
- Voter Registration and Elections Office, 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 300: March 2-6 and March 9-13, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.; Saturday, March 7 and 14, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; Sunday, March 15, noon-4 p.m.; March 16-20, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- The Gallery at South DeKalb mall, 2801 Candler Road: March 2-6, March 9-13, March 16-20, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.; Saturday, March 7 and 14, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; Sunday, March 15, noon-4 p.m.
- Dunwoody Library, 5339 Chamblee Dunwoody Road: March 2-6 and March 9-13, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.; Saturday, March 7 and 14, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; Sunday, March 15, noon-4 p.m.; March 16-20, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Two more locations opened for early voting on Monday, March 9:
- Reid H. Cofer Library in Tucker, 5234 LaVista Road: March 9-13 and March 16-20, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.; Saturday, March 7 and 14: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Stonecrest Library, 3123 Klondike Road: March 9-13 and March 16-20, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.; Saturday, March 7 and 14: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
And the following spots offer early voting from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20. The hours at all of these locations are 7 a.m.-7 p.m.:
- Bessie Branham Recreation Center in Atlanta, 2051 Delano Drive
- Briarwood Recreation Center in Brookhaven, 2235 Briarwood Way
- North DeKalb Senior Center in Chambee, 3393 Malone Drive
- First Baptist Church Decatur, 308 Clairemont Avenue
- Berean Christian Church Community Center in Stone Mountain, 2440 Young Road
- House of Hope Atlanta in the Decatur area, 4650 Flat Shoals Parkway.

You can check your voter registration status and find your assigned polling place on the state's My Voter Page website.
This election will be DeKalb’s first time using the state’s new voting machines, which use a combination of touchscreens and computer-printed paper ballots.
