Score: 78/C

A popular Italian restaurant chain's Perimeter Mall location received a score of 78/C on its health inspection Tuesday, according to a Georgia Department of Public Health inspection report.

The health inspector noted accumulation of dried food debris on a meat slicer blade and food products like cooked eggplant, pasta dishes and some crab and meat products improperly cooled—repeat violations from a previous inspection.

Maggiano's employee personal beverages were also stored near food and food contact surfaces, the inspector noted.

The location previously scored a 82/B in March 2015 and before that, a 71/C in January 2015, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health.

In an email to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a Maggiano's Little Italy spokesperson said the following:

"The health of our guests is always our top priority and we maintain very strict standards of quality, safety and cleanliness in our restaurants. We take health inspections very seriously and value our partnership with the health department to ensure the health and safety of our guests. We are quickly resolving all observations made and will continue to uphold our strict standards at Maggiano's Perimeter for our guests and team mates."
