As construction begins to complete George Rogers Avenue in early 2018, Duluth has contracted with Kimley-Horn and Associates to perform a signal warrant study at the eventual intersection of George Rogers Avenue and State Route 120/Abbotts Bridge Road in line with the rear entrance to Duluth High School. The study will determine whether installation of a traffic control signal is justified at this location.

The city has submitted this project to Gwinnett DOT as one of the 2017 SPLOST joint funded city/county projects. This means the project will be funded with 81 percent county SPLOST and 19 percent city SPLOST. Total cost for the traffic signal study is $15,000.
