Making use of 2017 SPLOST funds, Duluth will add a traffic signal at the intersection of Rogers Bridge Road and Main Street. The city received six bids for the work, with GTG traffic Signals coming in as the lowest bidder at $248,000.

The Duluth City Council recently voted to award the contract, with an additional $25,000 contingency, to GTG traffic Signals. The cost for materials testing is estimated to be $7,000. The cost for Duluth’s City Engineer’s time during the construction phase is estimated to be $20,000, bringing the total budget requested for this phase of the project to $300,000. Per the city’s intergovernmental agreement with Gwinnett, the city will be responsible for 19 percent of the project costs, or $57,000.
