A motorist was killed Sunday morning on Ga. 316 in Gwinnett County, police said.
The driver of a black Lexus, Sandro Lopez, 21, of Norcross, was traveling east and approaching Riverside Parkway at about 1:45 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle and slid sideways, according to a press release from Lawrenceville police.
The driver slid into a center median and struck a guard rail, causing extensive damage to his vehicle.
He was transported to Gwinnett Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
