Crews will close a stretch of road in downtown Marietta during working hours for a couple of weeks.

The city posted to Facebook on Monday saying the closure is to replace a pipe underneath a railroad crossing.

Crews will be around Polk Street between Church Street and North Marietta Parkway.

City spokeswoman Lindsey Wiles said the project is expected to cost $49,775.

The work will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. most days during the two weeks if weather permits, the city said.
