While remaining closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Douglas County Public Libraries now are offering temporary drive-up services.

Hours are 9 a.m. to noon Mondays through Thursdays.

These services include requesting library materials, checking out library materials/holds and receiving printouts, according to a Douglas County news release.

To print materials, call your library and they will provide you with an email address and printing costs.

Residents may not request more than 10 items at a time.

Staff guarantee items will be available one hour later upon request.

The drive-up service is intended to provide as many library services as possible while the libraries are closed to the public, the statement added.

Also, “Douglas County Libraries will be hosting their annual Summer Reading Program virtually across social media,” Douglas County Library Director Lindy A. Moore said.

“The Summer Reading Program will run June 1 through Aug. 1 at all libraries under the West Georgia Regional Library System,” she added.
