Most lanes of Interstate 75 southbound are blocked near Barrett Parkway in Cobb County, after a dump truck and three vehicles crashed.

Police said there are multiple injuries, and Cobb officials had to free one person trapped in one of the vehicles Friday.

The crash happened about 9:40 a.m., and delays were about 10 miles long just before noon, according to WSB's 24-hour Traffic Center.

To avoid the traffic delays, take Highway 41 southbound to Highway 5 or use I-575 southbound as alternates, the Traffic Center said.

No other details were released.
