After unwrapping gifts, chugging eggnog and perhaps caroling, the last thing on anyone’s mind is when they’re taking down the Christmas tree.

But DeKalb residents, you’re in luck.

Beginning Dec. 26, the county’s sanitation services will pick up your tree through Jan. 11.

Trees must by 7 feet or less  and have no decorations on them. They must be placed on the curb on your scheduled collection day.

Trees longer than 7 feet must be cut to the appropriate length.

Residents also have the option of disposing of trees at the Seminole Road Landfill for a fee. Trees are converted to mulch.
