DeKalb road to close for filming of movie featuring 'This is Us’ star
A Lithonia road will close next Wednesday for filming of scenes for “The Darkest Minds,” a new film starring singer and “This is Us” actress Mandy Moore.
Lithonia Industrial Boulevard will be closed between Rock Chapel Road and South Stone Mountain Lithonia Road, DeKalb County announced. The closure is between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
IMDb.com summarizes the movie: “After a disease kills 98 percent of America's children, the surviving 2 percent develop superpowers and are placed in internment camps. A 16-year-old girl escapes her camp and joins a group of other teens on the run from the government.”
The movie, set for a September 2018 release, also stars Gwendoline Christie, who’s been on “Game of Thrones” and in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
