DeKalb County Police are investigating a Sunday night murder in Stone Mountain.

Police received the call at 11:30 p.m. and responded to the Hampton Village Apartments in the 1900 block of Tree Mountain Parkway. A black male victim in his 20s was found in the breezeway of the apartment building, dead from an apparent gunshot wound, said DeKalb police spokeswoman Mekka Parish.

Parish said an argument preceded the shooting, but did not elaborate.

A possible suspect is in police custody, she said.

Neither the suspect or victim’s names have been released.
