The federal government has given the DeKalb Juvenile Court a $1.1 million grant for paid youth internships and training.

The three-year YouthBuild grant from the U.S. Department of Labor will allow the court to offer paid skills training and work experience for people in DeKalb ages 16 to 24, the county announced in a statement Wednesday.

The Juvenile Court will partner with the solicitor-general’s office, WorkSource DeKalb and other community organizations to provide the internships.

OTHER DEKALB NEWS:
