The DeKalb County Department of Family and Children Services has moved locations.

DeKalb’s DFCS office closed the doors on its office on Sams Street near Decatur last week and reopened Monday near Northlake Mall.

The new location — 2300 Parklake Drive in Atlanta — is about 113,000 square feet and houses more than 500 staff members, officials said.

DeKalb DFCS provides economic assistance and child welfare services to more than 100,000 families.

The new office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
