The Norcross City Council has adopted a new ordinance prohibiting the display of vehicles for sale, or as advertising devices, in areas not zoned for the purpose of selling vehicles. The ordinance is designed to prevent what is commonly referred to as “curbstoning,” the repeated, unlicensed sale of used cars in the city.

Norcross will give violators of the new ordinance warnings over the next 30 days. After that, “curbstoning” violators will be cited $100 for the first vehicle on a first offense and $500 per vehicle for each additional vehicle and any repeat violations.
