As part of the county’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Forsyth County Animal Shelter announced Friday that it is closed until further notice, and all pet adoptions are suspended.

Staff will continue to care for animals at the shelter, 4065 County Way, Cumming, and will be available to reunite lost animals with their families, but by appointment only: 678-965-7185. Residents who have lost a pet can check the shelter's Lost & Found pages: https://bit.ly/3aKdbhU

The shelter will not accept owner surrenders. Those who have found a stray should call Forsyth Animal Services, 770-781-2138.
