It took only about a minute for two thieves to take at least $25,000 in Rolex watches and other expensive items from a Snellville jewelry store.

The pair of suspects, who covered nearly everything but their eyes, broke into Barron’s Fine Jewelry on Scenic Higway around 3 a.m. Aug. 2, surveillance footage shows. Once a front window was smashed with a sledgehammer, the two thieves ran into the store and snatched up high-end watches and jewelry, according to Snellville police.

The thieves took expensive pieces of jewelry, Rolexes and other upscale men’s watches, smashing five glass display cases along the way, according to Detective Jeff Manley. After about a minute, they fled the store.

Police think the robbery could be related to a series of similar robberies across Gwinnett and DeKalb counties, , Channel 2 Action News reported. In those cases, there were three suspects involved, and many of the targeted businesses were cell phone and electronics stores. On one night, the trio stole more than $76,000 in cash and merchandise within 45 minutes.

If you have any information about this burglary, contact the Snellville Police Department at 770-985-3555.
