A Gwinnett County woman is in prison after her boyfriend was shot in a McDonald's drive-thru, Channel 2 Action News reports.

Juan Rojas was shot in the leg on Feb. 17 and suffered “major internal injuries” in what Rojas’ girlfriend, Tia Tucker, told police was a random shooting. Tucker is now in prison on a probation violation charge, and Duluth police say that Tucker was set up by another woman to be robbed.

Tucker had allegedly arranged to buy drugs from the woman, Channel 2 reported. Tucker and Rojas were at the McDonald’s near the intersection of Buford Highway and Old Peachtree Road around 6 a.m. when a man approached the car, told them to give him their belongings and shot Rojas before running away, according to police.

Dayvon Anthony Daye, 26, was arrested on charges including aggravated assault, aggravated battery and armed robbery in connection with the shooting. The female suspect has not been identified by police, who say they are still actively searching for her, according to Channel 2.
