As part of its continued library improvement initiative, the Atlanta Fulton County Public Library System will close the College Park Library, 3647 Main Street, College Park.
To prepare for the closure, patrons are reminded to transfer hold items, locate a nearby library to return library materials and search for library programs at http://afpls.org/locations or use the Library System’s library locator tool to search for an alternate library.
The College Park Library will close to the public at 6 p.m. Monday, May 13 in order to begin extensive renovation work, as part of the Library’s Capital Improvement Program, Phase II project.
The Design/Build team of CT Darnell Construction and Clark Patterson Engineers, Surveyor and Architects, P.C. has contracted with Fulton County to provide design, engineering and construction management services for the Group 3 renovation projects, which includes College Park Library, and Heery/Russell is the program management team.
Renovations are expected to take up to six months. During construction library service will be available at the following nearby locations:
· Metropolitan Library, 1332 Metropolitan Parkway, Atlanta
· Southeast Library, 1463 Pryor Road, Atlanta
· Wolf Creek Library, 3100 Enon Road, Atlanta
· South Fulton Library, 4055 Flat Shoals Road, Union City
