Cobb will open four electrical vehicle charging stations

Interest in the factors that influence the adoption of electric vehicle technology has grown in Georgia following the Legislature’s decision to eliminate a $5,000 tax credit and impose a $200 per year registration fees. Four electrical vehicle charging stations will be built for public use by Cobb County government.
Cost to users will be 85 cents for every 30 minutes.

- Cobb County Board of Commissioners parking deck, 100 Cherokee St., Marietta
- New parking deck, 191 Lawrence St., Marietta
- Motor Vehicle Division, Tag Office, 700 South Cobb Drive, Marietta
- Charles D. Switzer Main Library, 266 Roswell St., Marietta
The county will pay $27,379 for the installations with the remainder of $23,286 to be paid by the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority with federal funds.
