Atlanta native Jack Hall will replace Don Robertson as headmaster of the Walker School after Robertson retires in July. The private school in Marietta has 1,038 students in pre-school through grade 12.

Hall, 51, has led another private school, the Augusta Preparatory Day School for 12 years. He started teaching in Atlanta at the Lovett school in 1981 where he taught fourth and fifth grades and was a coach. He also taught and coached at the Westminster School for 11 years.

“Walker appealed to me because of its non-sectarian mission and strong academics.” Hall said. “Every community should have  such an option.”
