The Cobb County School District’s average SAT score for the class of 2019 increased slightly over the average of students in the previous class.
That’s according to the school system, which said its average for 2019 was 1114, seven points higher than its average score in 2018. Cobb high school students continue to outperform their state and national peers. The district’s average is higher than the statewide average of 1048 and the national average of 1039.
Cobb County schools also surpassed state and national averages in 2018, 2018 and 2016, the system said. Superintendent Chris Ragsdale said the system's Georgia Milestone scores, graduation rate and SAT scores show Cobb students "are seeing increased success year, after year and at a faster rate than their state and national peers."
