A Cobb County man is accused of inappropriately touching a 12-year-old boy in front of his parents just days after he was released from jail on allegations that he groped a woman.

Thomas Andrew Wooten, 52, of Kennesaw, is charged with one count each of child molestation and cruelty to children in the second degree, according to arrest warrants.

Wooten was booked into the Cobb County Jail on March 5 and was released March 6 on a $27,720 bond. According to the arrest warrant obtained by Kennesaw police, Wooten grabbed the child’s backside in front of the boy’s parents, “causing the child to be nervous and scared.”

Wooten’s alleged actions came days after he was released from the Cobb County jail on charges he groped a woman on Feb. 28.

According to an arrest warrant granted to Kennesaw police for that incident, Wooten grabbed the woman’s chest multiple times and tried to kiss her without her consent.

He was arrested March 1 and charged with one count of sexual battery. He was released March 2 on a $2,970 bond.
