It’s back to school and work today, Cobb County.

This morning is beginning in the mid 70s with partly cloudy skies. The high will reach 88 Tuesday, said Channel 2 meteorologist Brian Monahan.

And there will be plenty to do with that nice weather, including a Braves game at SunTrust Park.

Rain chances for the week will remain low, Monahan said, with mostly dry but hot days. Cobb County and the metro Atlanta area are not expected to feel the effects of Tropical Storm Gordon, which is expected to make landfall along the Gulf Coast.
