A Cobb County doctor has been accused of sending a lewd image of a child to an undercover investigator.
Andrew Everett Sutton, of Kennesaw, turned himself in to police Monday afternoon and was booked into the Cobb County jail, according to booking records. Sutton, 48, was charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of children.
In May, Sutton allegedly sent a sexually explicit image of a girl between the ages of 10 and 14 to an undercover officer, an arrest warrant obtained by the AJC states. In September, Sutton allegedly was in a possession of possibly the same photo, depicting a girl on a bed with parts of her body exposed, the warrant states.
Sutton is an ear, nose and throat doctor with offices in Cobb and Cherokee counties, according to the website for his practice. He is a father of four, according to his biography on the website.
Jail records show Sutton was released Monday evening after posting $10,000 bond.
