Both agency directors unanimously appointed recently by the Cobb County Board of Commissioners come from within Cobb government.
Eddie Canon is the new Cobb Support Services agency director after serving as the P.A.R.K.S. department director since 2007.
Canon joined Cobb County government in 1998 and has 35 years of experience.
Jim Wilgus is the new Cobb Department of Transportation agency director after serving as interim director for seven months.
Wilgus joined Cobb DOT in January 2014 as the deputy director.
Before then, Wilgus served as city engineer for the city of Marietta and held various professional engineering roles in the private sector for 25 years.
