During the Sept. 4 Clayton County Board of Education meeting, the Board approved a recommendation to revise the 2018-19 Academic Calendar, according to a press release. The action will result in the following adjustments to the District’s calendar:
● Monday, March 11 - Staff Development Day becomes a regular instructional day
● Thursday, May 23 - Regular instructional day becomes the Last Day of 2018-19 School Year
(Students will still attend 180 days of instruction.)
● Friday, May 24 - Last Day of 2018-19 School Year becomes a Staff Development/Post-Planning
Day
● Thursday, May 30 - Remains the Last Day for 190-day personnel
The Board’s approval now makes possible the scheduling of graduation ceremonies for the Class of
2019 to be held on Friday, May 24, and Saturday, May 25, at the Georgia International Convention
