Waters still surround Clarkdale Elementary School in Austell, but they receded enough for officials to take a look inside at the damage.

Waters finally receded enough for officials to take a look at the flooded Clarkdale Elementary School in Austell on Wednesday. Some items collected from classrooms sat on a bench out front.

Students will be moved to Compton Elementary School and Austell Intermediate School.
