DeKalb County police believe a 23-year-old man was killed in a robbery attempt after meeting two women on a dating website.

Four suspects face murder charges in the Sept. 1 shooting death of Jordan "Jo" Collins of Norcross, DeKalb Maj. Stephen Fore announced Tuesday. Collins reportedly met Nashea Poole and Clarissa McGhee, both 21, on the PlentyOfFish site and invited them to spend time with him and his brother at a house in Redan.

At one point, the women "lured" Collins outside the house off Tunbridge Wells Road by asking him to quiet a barking dog, police said. Two men were waiting for him. Soon a gunshot rang.

The brother, Chad Collins, 24, was shot at least five times when he went to check on the victim.

The family is reeling.

"Words cannot express our heartache and how much we love and miss Jordan," sister Franchesca Collins wrote in an online fundraising campaign set up to help with the funeral. "Although our hearts ache, we understand that God makes no mistakes and has called Jordan to rest."

She recalled her brother as a "loving and caring son, father, brother and uncle" — one who "did not deserve to lose his life with no justification at just 23 years old."

The sister, who couldn't immediately be reached for comment Tuesday night, didn't go into the details of the case.

According to an arrest warrant, police searched a cellphone which led to the identities of the women.

The male suspects were identified as Antonio Avery, 25, and Demarco Butler, 27.

Police haven't said who is specifically accused of firing on the victims.

All four suspects were in the DeKalb jail Tuesday after being arrested by police and DeKalb deputies.
