The city of Brookhaven along with Trees Atlanta is hosting an Arbor Day Tree planting this weekend. The city intends to plant at least 35 trees in Georgian Hills Park, 2800 Georgian Drive East, and is asking for volunteers to complete the planting. The event sign-in is scheduled to start at 8:45 a.m. Saturday and the event will last about a half day.

Volunteers and staff will plant 35 trees and spread mulch on the ground. Volunteers should wear loose fitting, comfortable clothes and shoes, and should bring work gloves. Another suggestion is to consider bringing a wide-brim hat and insect repellent, weather depending.
