Atlanta native Catherine Tabor, the CEO and founder of Sparkfly, yesterday was named one of the Top Women in Restaurant Technology by Hospitality Technology magazine.

A team of high school students from The Westminster Schools in Atlanta recently won their regional competition for the 2020 National Science Bowl and are scheduled to ompete in the NSB National Finals in Washington, D.C.

Starr's Mill High senior, Thomas Hindy, as the winner of the Indie Spirit Award recently at the Women in Horror Film Festival for his independent film, "Framed."

Three Paideia students were awarded gold medals at the national level of the 2020 Scholastic Art and Writing program. Junior Juliana Margolis and seniors Tristan Ouweleen and Anna Zheng were awarded national gold medals in photography, drawing and illustration, and writing respectively.

Fahamu Pecou of Decatur was among the 2020 State Fellowship recipients of South Arts visual arts fellowships. Nine visual artists (one per state from AL, FL, GA, KY, LA, MS, NC, SC, and TN) will each receive a $5,000 State Fellowship; additionally, they are now in competition for the $25,000 Southern Prize with a residency at The Hambidge Center for Creative Arts and Sciences as well as the $10,000 Southern Prize Finalist awards.
