A massive water main break in DeKalb County has instigated a boil water advisory for the area.

Because part of Atlanta is in DeKalb, the disruption has left some Atlanta residents wondering whether they’re able to drink the water.

The answer: If you live in DeKalb but receive water from the city of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management, the boil water advisory doesn't impact you, according to Atlanta officials.

Similarly, the situation has not affected Atlanta Public Schools.
