The Clermont Lounge’s most popular entertainer, Blondie, is celebrating her 40 years at the widely known establishment this weekend.

A rooftop garden party is set 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday for the iconic Atlanta adult dancer, born Anita Ray Strange.

A 2014 film, AKA Blondie, by local director Jon Watts, delved into Blondie's personal life and her advocacy for gay rights.

The 51-minute documentary includes Blondie’s appearance on popular 90s talk show Sally Jessy Raphael. At the time of that appearance she had been a dancer at the Clermont for 16 years — and details her career at the Clermont Lounge.

Details on the anniversary celebration have not been publicized.
