ATM ripped from Fulton Cotton Mill Lofts

Thieves made off with an ATM from the Fulton Cotton Mill condominium in Atlanta before daybreak Friday, June 3, 2011.

The ATM was stolen from the lobby of the condo complex near Grant Park. All that remained on Friday morning were a few bolts and some debris where the machine had stood.

Police said the thieves entered the apartment area, unbolted the ATM from its foundation and dragged it out.

The witness said the men hauled the ATM out on a green hand truck, which was later found behind the building. The Fulton Cotton Mill Lofts is in the 100 block of Boulevard.

Atlanta police speak with Cotton Mill security officers on Friday morning. The condo gate with a security booth was just 30 yards from the lobby where the ATM was stolen.
