There's a good chance students will get another day off Tuesday. And mom and dad may not be going anywhere either.
All of the metro school systems, colleges and universities were closed Monday due to the icy conditions. Many announced Monday afternoon that Tuesday classes will also be canceled.
Some confirmed closings include DeKalb, Gwinnett, Cobb, Cherokee, Clayton, Fulton, Fayette, Douglas, Paulding, Henry, Forsyth, Rockdale, Newton, Bartow, Coweta and Carroll Counties, along with Atlanta, Decatur, Marietta, Buford, and Gainesville city schools.
The University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kennesaw State University, Georgia Gwinnett and Southern Polytechnic will also be closed. An announcement is expected from Georgia State University at 7 p.m.
The Cobb County Transit buses will not be running Tuesday, the county spokesman said.
