A truck carrying two tons of gravel fell through the upper level of a parking lot Tuesday afternoon in northwest Georgia.
The truck was beginning to scrape snow in the two-level deck in Calhoun when its rear wheels fell through the concrete, the Rome News-Tribune reported. The truck's driver, David James, was not injured.
No one else was in the deck, which is part of courthouse annex, according to the report.
“I felt like my wheels had gone into a grate. It just stopped, and then it started falling backwards,” said James, an 11-year county employee. “Everything just moved in slow motion.”
The courthouse is scheduled to re-open Wednesday.
