Atlanta International Hostel

The Atlanta International Hostel has a long history. It was most recently known as a bed and breakfast called Woodruff Inn and as a brothel in the 50s.

Atlanta's only hostel offers inexpensive rates for students traveling in the city.

While interviewing for work in the states, Claire van der Plas spends time making dinner at the hostel.

The hostel has a convenient location on Ponce de Leon for students to get around Atlanta.

In the front office, Heather Harper, Atlanta International Hostel's assistant manager, takes a reservation for one of the hostel's 77 beds.

The walls bear pictures of past visitors.

Dinnertime also is a chance for the students to consult their maps.

The hostel's refrigerators are in the community dining room next to a small kitchen where guests cook their meals.
