Ed Gerson loves the smiles and looks he gets when he’s driving around Sandy Springs with his 1956 Nash Metropolitan.

The car, which is exactly like the one he learned to drive on as a child, is outfitted with a giant wind-up key on the trunk.

“It’s become a member of the family,” he said. “It’s turned into a fun car to own.”

Like Gerson, there are so many people in metro Atlanta who love their classic cars.

From Fayette to Forsyth counties, these beautiful machines can be seen cruising the back roads and highways of this state.

This video series has been created to showcase some of the fantastic cars in metro Atlanta and the people who put in the time, sweat and money to keep the tires rolling and the engines humming.

If you have a car you would like showcased, email Todd C. Duncan at todd.duncan@ajc.com.
