East Point police are looking for at least two gunmen in the fatal shootout that broke out at a Saturday night block party.
Katerius Moody, 18, was killed and four others were wounded during the party at the Hidden Cove Apartments, located on Delowe-Stanton Access Road off Langford Parkway.
Moody's autopsy was scheduled for Sunday. Another victim was shot in the chest and a third was shot in the ankle, Sgt. Cliff Chandler said. All the wounded were taken to area hospitals. Their conditions were not immediately available.
The fight erupted about 9:30 p.m.
"This large party was going on and for whatever reason a couple of groups started fighting," Chandler said. "And people decided to pull guns out."
It was unclear how many shots were fired.
Chandler appealed to the public for help in describing and identifying the shooters.
Moody was in a singing group that had just performed at the party billed as the "6th Annual RIP Day For Fallen Soilders," WSB-TV reported.
Moody's cousin, Keyshona Fambro, told the TV station that Moody was an aspiring rapper and part of a group called the Polo Boys.
