Fayetteville’s “Christmas on Main Street” event is accepting entry applications for this year’s Christmas Parade on Dec. 7.

The parade will begin at 5 p.m. at the Fayette County Justice Center at 1 Center Drive and proceed north along Lee Street, wind through the historic courthouse square area and end back at the Justice Center. Participation in the parade is open to local clubs, organizations, businesses, families, schools, political entities and other groups, and can take the form of walkers, cyclists, cars, trucks, motorcycles and floats. There is a $10 entry fee per application. Vehicles must be road safe and decorated. Walkers can distribute candy but it cannot be thrown from vehicles.
