Alpharetta has a named a new leader for its Chamber of Commerce.

Deborah L. Lanham is now the president and CEO, the Chamber announced Wednesday.

“This appointment is truly an unbelievable blessing,” Lanham said in the news release.

Raised in Michigan and an Alpharetta area resident of 22 years, Lanham was a top executive with the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce for about eight years, according to the news release. In 2018, she started a business consulting firm.

“We are blessed she is such an ideal fit and confidence is sky-high about how she will capitalize on our current success and momentum to serve Alpharetta,” Chamber board chairman Ron Altman said in the announcement.

Alpharetta Councilman Dan Merkel added that Lanham can lead “the Alpharetta Chamber into a bright future.”
