The management of Allatoona Lake is offering complimentary, annual day use passes to first-time attendees of an authorized U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Safe Boating Class.

The incentive seeks to promote water and boater safety, according to a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers posting to the Allatoona Lake Facebook page.

The Lake Operations Project Management Office will issue the complimentary USACE Annual Day Use Pass, valid for onNe year from the date of issuance, to those who attend the class for the first time and provide the original certificate.

The class is offered by Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 22. The following class dates, all Saturdays, are still available: March 2, April 13, May 4, June 1, July 13, Aug. 10 and Sept. 14. Information: Greg Fonzeno, Flotilla22pe@gmail.com
