A teenager was shot and killed Saturday at a DeKalb County apartment complex.

Tarvis Taylor, 19, was found dead behind one of the buildings at the Paradise East Apartments on Bouldercrest Road after neighbors called 911 to report hearing gunshots, DeKalb County police said.

Lt. C. Rorey told Channel 2 Action News that the teen lived at the complex.

A second shooting victim was found in the 2500 block of Hatfield Circle, DeKalb County spokeswoman Shiera Campbell said.

“He was taken to Grady (Memorial Hospital) and released, and questioned by detectives,” she said.

Campbell said detectives collected evidence from the scene and interviewed witnesses, but no suspect has been arrested.

No further information was immediately available.
