In an attempt to bring more business to Fulton County, commissioners agreed Wednesday to create a new entity — “Select Fulton” — to serve as a clearinghouse for economic development opportunities countywide.

“All of us benefit if someone locates in Fulton County,” County Manager Dick Anderson said.

As it is, Fulton’s existing economic development efforts doesn’t have much visibility. The change is intended to create an entity that can urge business to locate everywhere from Atlanta to Milton to unincorporated South Fulton.
