Little Creek Horse Farm, a 40-acre park near Decatur that's a home to dozens of horses, will soon be renovated.

The DeKalb Board of Commissioners voted unanimously July 27 to spend $215,000 on parking lots, manure management, roof improvements, pasture management and wireless internet.

In addition, a donor is building a pavilion to improve viewing for visitors, said Commissioner Steve Bradshaw.

"Little Creek Horse Farm is one of DeKalb County's many jewels and has the potential to become a premier international attraction," Bradshaw said in a statement. "It only makes sense to provide the funds for improvements that will draw many more visitors."

The project is funded through park bonds dedicated for DeKalb Commission District 4, which covers east-central DeKalb.
