South metro incumbents fell short in their re-election bids in Tuesday's runoff.

Incumbent Clayton County Commissioner Michael Edmondson lost his fourth district seat to DeMont Davis. Davis defeated Edmondson 61 percent to 39 percent in the race that had just over 2,400 votes.

Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle and Secretary of State Brian Kemp made their final push to voters on Monday.

In Henry County, Sophe Cooke Pope beat District 4 Board of Education incumbent Donna McBride 60.5 percent to 39.5 percent. Pope received 3072 votes compared to McBride's 2004.

In the race for Henry County state court judge, David Brown defeated Chaundra Lewis 62 percent to 38 percent. Brown’s win was a reversal of the results in the May primary in which Lewis received a larger percentage of the vote.
