State Route 316 will shift to go under State Route 20 in Gwinnett County.

Eastbound traffic will make the switch Monday night, while westbound traffic will change Tuesday.

The move will keep traffic on 316 from stopping at the intersection with 20, an area where there is typically congestion.

The $37.4 million construction project includes more than two miles of new road and two new bridges over 316. The entire project should be finished at the end of May 2016.
