Atlanta Public Schools families who still need a computer to help their child keep up with digital learning while school buildings are closed must contact their school today.

The district said parents who missed earlier device distributions must contact their child’s school by 5 p.m. Tuesday.

“The district’s technology team will assess those needs and make devices available for pick up starting on Thursday, April 2, at the Alonzo A. Crim Center for Learning and Leadership, at 130 Trinity Avenue SW, while supplies last,” said an APS statement. “For requests properly submitted through the schools, parents and caregivers should expect to receive a call sometime on Thursday giving instructions on picking up their child’s device at CLL beginning on Thursday afternoon. Only students with pre-assigned devices can be supported through this process, and there will not be any extra devices.”

The district has distributed more than 7,500 iPads to first and second graders and more than 8,000 laptops to middle school students. Last week, APS handed out an additional 8,096 devices.
